Week 8-Networks

After my idea get patented, I would like to create a web page for my invention. But before I create the website, I must create a domain name. A domain name is an alias for an IP address. The domain name is significant because it is another way to advertise your invention.

Because there are many website names out there it will be difficult for me to create a website simple based off my design. In order to combat this issue I can use other domain names such as .pro that send a different message other then .com. However, using the .com domain name is useful because people are familiarly with it and people usually are able to memorize it better than other domain names.

The website name is an important factor in creating a website. Website such as google and yahoo are not only successful because of their content but also because there names are catchy and advertised effectively. In order for my invention to be successful I must create a website and website name that is efficient and catchy.

Week 7-Operation Systems

Any inventor knows that it is vital to protect his idea from getting stolen. In order for an individual to prevent their idea from getting stolen it is important to patent their idea. A patent is a set of exclusive rights granted by a state to a person for a fixed period of time in exchange for the regulated, public disclosure of certain details of a device, method, process or substance which is new, inventive and useful.

Since my idea requires me to protect it from others, it is essential that I patent this. When I patent my idea it does not allow others to take it from me and also allows me to sell the idea to corporations. Without a patent individuals can easily take my idea and sell it for profit.

Setting a patent on an invention is the base of any successful entrepreneur's start. By patenting an invention it allows the inventor to start to think about the distribution and advertisement of the invention. Without the patent the production of the invention is halted.

Week 5-Computer Forensics

Keeping you personal information safe from others is something every single individuals tries to achieve. However, some individuals neglect this fact and do not do much to protect their identity and private information. In order to protect your information from others and to protect your information from disappearing there are methods you can use to prevent this from happening. The use of backups such as Mozy or an external hard drive is necessary. Also individuals can use practical privacy protection which includes passwords and putting valuable information in protected files.

Since my invention may force me to have information of clients and information and product sales and financials, keeping this information is vital. In order to protect my information from disappearing, I can keep financial records on an online service such as Mozy or use an external hard drive. Also to protect my information from theft, I can make sure no personal information is presented online and keep a password so individuals do not have access to my information.

Because computer have been such a huge aspect in businesses, computer forensics has been a new form of occupation that is significant. But if you are not a large corporation that can hire an individual that specializes in this field there are ways you yourself can protect yourself from identity theft. Since my invention requires me to obtain financial records of others it is important I keep this information safe.

Week 3-Desktop Publishing & Spreadsheet Essentials

Spreadsheet software allows users to organize data in rows and columns and perform calculations on data. Like word processing software, most spreadsheet software has basic features to help users create, edit, and format worksheets. Because of spreadsheet software's logical approach to organizing data, many people use this software to organize and present non-financial data, as well as financial data.

Since my product requires individuals and corporations to purchase for distribution of automobiles, a spreadsheet software is essential. Because I would like to receive a certain percentage of the sales of the automobiles on the market with my invention, a spreadsheet can help me do these calculations. The spreadsheet would be effective because it contains more than 16,000 columns and 1 million rows.

In order to run an efficient financial system, the use of spreadsheet software is essential. From small businesses to large corporations, all types of businesses use some sort of spreadsheet software. The use of spreadsheet software would be a significant part of my invention if I were to distribute my idea to automobile companies.

Week 2-The WWW Ecommerce

The Internet, also called the Net, is a worldwide collection of networks that links millions of businesses, government agencies, educational institutions, and individuals. Since the introduction of the internet, businesses and entrepreneurs have been able to introduce new products and ideas to others to make a profit or just to advertise. The internet has become an essential part to any business.

With my new product I can use the internet to introduce the products to potential businesses that are interested. I can also create my own website that will describe the features and the idea behind my product. The key component in creating my website is to focus equally among design, technology, management, and content.

The internet is an effective way to introduce my idea to the public. Although going out to automobile companies and introducing the idea is significant, setting up an effective website to show clients is also a key component. The internet has been a gateway for many entrepreneurs to start their businesses and showcase their ideas.
